In 2011 I was commissioned by the small but progressive arts organisation Multistory to make work in the Black Country, an area to the west of Birmingham in the post-industrial heartland of the British Midlands, a place hit particularly hard by the current economic recession.

In the video you can her a woman or a number of woman naming nail varnish colours I don't really understand how this links in with the video but I think it could be that quite a lot of woman in that area may get their nails done in a salon plus in the video you see someone getting their nails done this could be the link but why use the audio with the other scenes in the videos?
The video also show a mix of still photos on different landscapes like buildings and roads, which is Birmingham urban landscapes their also photos of different shoes.
